Having grown up in Corner Brook, Dr. Tipple attended University in Nova Scotia and achieved a Bachelor of Science degree (honors) before going on to complete his doctor of veterinary medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2008.
After graduation Dr. Tipple was excited to accept his first job practicing large animal medicine and surgery for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and then onto a private practice clinic in Ontario. Dr. Tipple returned home to Newfoundland to work as an associate at the Humber Valley Veterinary Clinic and in January 2011, became practice owner. He has grown the practice with enthusiasm from 1 doctor, 2 staff to a 3 doctor 7 staff hospital.
Dr. Tipple’s interest in veterinary medicine spans a broad scope of all he has encountered. He enjoys surgical challenges, internal medicine, reproduction, radiology and dealing with exotic animal species. It is his wish to continually upgrade and expand his expertise, personnel and facility to provide the most comprehensive, diagnostic, and therapeutic facility for the care of the hospitals patients.
Apart from the technical side of medicine, Dr. Tipple believes that communication and compassion are essential elements to caring for both pets and their owners. It has been his goal to ensure that this culture is reflected in the hospital atmosphere.
